The Cabin
Columbine Cabin is elegant and yet comfortable, designed for special gatherings of family and friends. The adorable town of Leadville is just 20 minutes away. Twin Lakes and Independence Pass is just 30 minutes in the other direction on route 24.
Base level bedroom is large, private, and includes a queen bed. The main level master looks out on the aspens and includes a king bed. The top floor of the home has two more bedrooms: the king master overlooking the mountains and a large second room with full and twin bed.
Interaction with Guests
We live in Colorado and are regularly in touch to ensure our guests are comfortable and feel supported.
Other Things to Note
While Columbine does have two TVs, both are hooked up to DVD players only. The home has no cable service. Watch movies and gather, but come to unplug.
The dirt road and drive to Columbine is well maintained and graded, but remote. In the winter especially, we recommend an AWD vehicle. In the summer, standard vehicles should have no difficulty.
There is no cell service in Beaver Lakes Estates but Columbine has both WIFI and a landline with unlimited local and long distance use.
“This is an amazing place! The view is spectacular from every window. Everything is new and the place is well decorated, carpets were super clean, view from the deck was SPECTACULAR. Best yoga I’ve done on a deck at sunrise! Pellet stove so yummy, heat and beautiful Snow and Aspens all around. If you are hanging by Twin Lakes /Mt Elbert, this is the cabin you wanna be in... definitely coming back in the Summer!!”
